    Second Opinion

    Not sure how your treatment is going? Feeling stuck? Taking far too many medications or feeling like something is missing? Obtain objective, scientific and collaborative advice from independent clinicians who take the time to figure things out. This includes pre-interventional psychiatric assessment for surgical and cosmetic procedures, as well as capacity and consent assistance.

Suzanne (Sue) has been a registered psychologist for more than 20 years and is a Psychology Board-approved supervisor. She is taking new clients and offers in-person psychology appointments at Psyxia on Mondays and Tuesdays. She works primarily within Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based CBT (MBCBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) frameworks and works with adults (i.e. 18 years or older) with mild to complex presenting issues including:

– Depression, anxiety and stress

– Women's Health

– Fertility Issues

– Phobias

– Work stress, burnout and psychosocial injury

– Life transition issues

– Grief and loss

– Social skills development

– Trauma

– Self-harm / suicidal ideation

A standard psychology appointment is 50 minutes. Clients can be referred under a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) through their doctor, which provides a Medicare rebate of $98.95 (please discuss MHCP eligibility with your doctor). Private appointments without referral are also accepted as well as clients seeking treatment under worker’s compensation claims. DVA clients are welcome and will be bulk billed under the entitlements of their DVA white card/gold card.
